Training during the holidays is never easy. After several days off, I was able to get back in the groove. I started with a lot of stretching. My lower back and legs were a bit stiff due to slacking off most of the prior day, December 26th, watching several episodes of The Crown on Netflix.
I started with several stretches and warm-up activities mostly to loosen my hamstrings and glutes. I picked a workout from the P90x series: Core Synergistics. I did the same workout last week. This exercise is good for building your core, and works multiple areas at once. I really like the incorporation of dumbbells into some of the exercises. I followed this with a 1 mile walk on the treadmill. Then Later that day, I did a 3.6 mile walk which included a stop at a nearby Starbucks 😬
